Kalista is a beauty therapist and co-owner of Glamour & Co Beauty Studio.

After completing VCE with no strong direction for career choice, Kalista took on many short-term contract jobs to gain life and work experience, including bar tending, paper route, nanny/care giving.

Kalista has a theatrical background in dance and theatre which was the beginning of her passion for makeup. She was encouraged by friends to enrol in TAFE and completed a Certificate III in Beauty Services.

Kalista's work involves connecting with clients and empowering them to look and feel like the best version of themselves. She has climbed the ladder from junior beauty therapist to salon owner.

In your current role, what are three things you enjoy and take pride in?

Meeting new people, building relationships with clients and being creative.

What challenges have you faced while starting your business, and how did you overcome them?

It was really challenging not being able to work consistently during the lockdowns.
