02 Aug Principal For A Day 2018
It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in Victoria’s 2018 Principal For A Day (PFAD) program, which will be held on Thursday 11 October.
Now in its 18th year, Principal For A Day operates in Victorian government primary, secondary, P-12 and special schools.
PFAD brings business and community leaders together with school leaders, with the aims of:
- increasing understanding and awareness of the challenges schools face;
- promoting the great work that schools do;
- sharing leadership ideas, perspectives and skills; and
- enabling participants to develop ongoing relationships, partnerships and programs.
The program is funded by the Bastow Institute of Educational Leadership (Bastow) through the department of Education and Training, and delivered by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).
For more information, please click here.
Your involvement with PFAD could be as a one-day event or a way to develop an ongoing partnership with your assigned school.
The registration process includes a short questionnaire about your particular skills and interests, which will assist in identifying the most mutually beneficial partner school for you. Registrations close on Monday 10 September.
Participants will also be invited to a follow-up event on Thursday 25 October at the Bastow Institute in North Melbourne to share their experiences and insights.
I invite you to share this with other business and community leaders who may be interested in participating in the program, and sincerely hope you will join us on Thursday 11 October to celebrate the Victorian Principal For A Day program.
